I think this is the longest I've gone not on a plane all year. At least this trip is a fun one.
At the start of tonight's show, Filthy O'Rotly brazenly wanted to "Factor in" a "temporary" 2% national sales tax to "bring down" the deficit, making him the latest bigwig to go from stupid to dangerous.
In a remarkable display of ignorance, he added that he felt it would not affect sales of goods and services, but after being prodded by Neil Cavuto who, himself, appeared willing to consider the tax if it was put in a "lockbox," the big bag of hot air admitted "what do I know?"
Now as many know, O'Reilly is my most hated non-politician, and it's because of "nuttiness" like this - which is to say, it's not nutty at all - it's scarily real.
For the record, I don't accept any new tax or any increase in any existing one - ever!
How is Tony Abbott's style? He understands diplomatic sensibilities and he understands how disappointed people may be because the PM can't meet the Dalai Lama. His Holiness makes many trips to this country, so perhaps Kevin Rudd should appoint Tony Abbott as the government's official greeter? Lords know, Abbott could do with exposure to the Buddhist perception of life, the universe & everything.

Returning to work tomorrow after a couple amazing weeks of family time. Teddy's new favorite phrase: "Two parents!" when Alethea and I are both hanging out with him at the same time. Anyone know a good therapist? JK...I hope.
